Traditionally bluebells symbolise gratitude and humility, which is thought to be as a result of the way they bend with the weight of the flowers and it is this aspect of them I’ve tried to represent in the pattern design.
I’d heard that Beckenham Place Park was the place in South East London to see the bluebells in all their glory so I headed there (with my embroidery) to see them all and snap a few pictures!
This pattern has now retired from the free pattern programme, but you can purchase the pattern with guidance and support for just a few pounds over at my Etsy shop where you can also find the full kit with all the materials you need to stitch this project.
